Virgin Gorda Trip

Virgin Gorda, the third largest of the British Virgin Islands after Tortola, was named by Columbus, and means “Fat Virgin”. Apparently, the shape of the island reminded him of a reclining naked woman with a distended stomach. I was told to squint and use my imagination to see it, but did not see any resemblance with a fat lady. Virgin Gorda is less than 9 square miles (23 sq km) in area. Its coastline features hundreds of bays and inlets with pristine beaches and is a true paradise for travelers. Virgin Gorda is the site of the most famous BVI attractions, The Baths!
